Subject: Easy dessert... Dump Cake!
Being the lazy cook that I am, I am always in the market for recipies which
require little preparation or cleanup. However, I'm picky, and like to eat
well, so that can be problematic. Anyway, here is my father's recipe for
"dump cake." Read on, and you'll understand the name:
DUMP CAKE
~~~~~~~~~
Ingredients:
3 cans of your favorite fruits (I prefer peaches, my father
likes pineapples and cherries, mixed)
1 box white cake mix
1 stick of unsalted butter or margarine
Drain the fruit, and dump it into a large baking dish. Smooth it out.
Dump the white cake mix on top. DO NOT MIX! Smooth it out. It should
cover the fruit.
Cut pats of butter all over the top, evenly distributed, until the
stick is gone. Again, do not mix.
Bake uncovered at 375 degrees (F) for 45 minutes or until golden
brown.
Enjoy!
